World Youth Festival 2022 Received with Great Enthusiasm

Representatives from over 60 International Sport Federations (IF) and organizations participated in the first UTS World Youth Festival 2022 virtual meeting. The meeting outlined the upcoming World Youth Festival and Conference in conjunction with APEC 2022 in Bangkok. The event will be hybrid and will take place from 14-20 November 2022. The World Youth Festival and Conference promotes inclusion, non-discrimination and equality.

UTS President, Stephan Fox, opened the meeting thanking all the IFs for their joint vision and mission to stand for and with the youth of the world of all abilities.

UTS CEO, Julia Govinden, presented the 5-day educational workshop while Janice Lyn, UTS Sport Coordinator, presented the virtual sports competitions including Max Fit, Aero Fit, IPC Inclusive Challenge, and SOI Unified Fitness Challenge.

The 2021 Festival which was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was an overwhelming success with over 50,000 youth participating in the sports program and 200,000 in the educational program.

All representatives received the 2022 World Youth Festival with great enthusiasm and are looking forward to a successful event in which inclusion through sports is celebrated.
