JOIN THE YOUTH WORLD FESTIVAL FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD

World Youth Festival 2022 Virtual Platform gives everyone a chance to join our celebration of inclusion.

Bangkok – The UTS World Youth Festival 2022 is happening in just a few days. More dedicated than ever United Through Sports celebrates inclusion, equality, non-discrimination, and peace-promotion. After a challenging few years, due to the pandemic, the event will physically take place in Bangkok. With a hybrid format, this festival reaches more youth than ever before. Our new Virtual Platform ensures we include everyone: it doesn’t matter where you are, you can be part of our festival. Over 2000 youth will participate on the ground in Bangkok and thousands are expected to join virtually and watch the conference and medal ceremony of the virtual competition on our Virtual Platform.

The Virtual Platform will host all the Education Forum including all conferences, workshops and plenary sessions taking place in Bangkok. Designed with youth in mind, this platform invites you to watch and participate live on the ‘Main Stage’. It also gives you the opportunity to get a glimpse of the dynamic Sports Festival that is taking place every day, 14-20 November. All events are shared from Bangkok to the world. We aim to inspire, motivate, and encourage you to do your best to contribute towards a better tomorrow for everybody.

The World Youth Festival will commence with a word of welcome from IOC President Thomas Bach, International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons, Special Olympics President Tim Shriver and former 8th UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon. One of our key note speakers is the permanent member of the United Nations in New York, H.E. Keisha McGuire esq. We have over 50 international speakers, amongst others we also have the honours to have HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein President of the Jordan Olympic Committee and Gabriela Ramos Assistant Director-General for the Social and Human Sciences of UNESCO.

Our workshops are hosted by amazing organisations. UNESCO is joining live to talk about the sustainable development goals (SDG’s). We will get a look into the program that IOC Young Leaders have created to support young people in the development of social projects. We are honoured to have Ezra Frech in Bangkok, a 17-year-old Paralympian and one of our exceptional ambassadors. Ezra and his family founded Angel City Sports, a non-profit organisation giving free adaptive sport opportunities. Mission 89 will hold a not to be missed session on human trafficking and safeguarding in sports. The Yunus Sports Hub will join us in the city, and they are ready to build inclusive and better socio-economic futures with entrepreneurs in and through sports. With the founder of SheFighter, Lina Khalifeh in the city, we will hear how women and girls can better protect themselves and build confidence through sport. This festival program promises to be an exciting week full of inspiring speakers, discussions, and action.
