BAHRAIN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE AND UTS SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Bahrain Olympic Committee and UTS with the aim of strengthening joint cooperation relations between the Committee and the organization to emphasize the role of sport in achieving sustainable development goals.

This step will also ensure that youth of the region regardless to ability will have more opportunities to access and enjoy sport.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority, Chairman of the Bahrain Martial Games Council, and CEO of the Public Sports Authority, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, the Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Hassan Al-Nisf, the advisor to His Highness the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Mr. Muhammad Shahid, and the President of the Bahrain Kickboxing Federation, Mr. Ahmed Khaled Al-Wazzan.

His Highness discussed with Mr. Stephan Fox ways of cooperation and joint coordination to move forward towards broader horizons of development and development in the sports field.

The importance of learning from one another, exchanging experiences and benefiting from successful experiences, will surely contribute to the advancement of the sports movement in the Kingdom.

UTS President of United Through Sports, stressed that the sports renaissance that the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing is clear evidence of the keenness and interest of the leadership in the Kingdom of Bahrain to support the sports sector.  He added that His Highness played an important role in the development of Bahraini sports, through great efforts and the launch of many targeted initiatives, which contributed to achieving qualitative leaps, especially in the field of combat games, through which Bahrain assumed an advanced position in Asia and internationally, expressing  At the same time, he is fully prepared to work and contribute to supporting Bahraini efforts for the good and progress of sports in the Kingdom.
