From 26 August to 6 September 2022, Cairo, the capital of Egypt will pay host to the 4th edition of the Africa Youth Games.This event was created by ANOCA in order to bring together, in the same venue, young boys and girls aged between 14 and 18 and coming from all parts of Africa.
During this period, they compete in what will be for many of them the beginning of a rich and long sports career; Africa Youth Games having become the real melting pot, or even the main breeding ground of continental sports.
These games which are used to experiment the sports and culture binomial are also a platform for experience-sharing and ownership of Olympic values. The 2022 edition of the Africa Youth Games in Cairo is the wish expressed by Egyptian authorities, led by His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi who was awarded the “Gold” medal of the African Olympic Order of Merit, the highest distinction of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa.
